Artslam week!
I took part in
auto_destruct's artslam week idea, so, time to share what I did!
I was challenging my self to take at least one photo for each day, that was going outside the usual boundaries of what I do with photos. I don't think that all the result are impressive, but, I tried.

Fried worm on the sidewalk... this poor little creature literally just fried because it was so hot outside. I took this picture because, who is going to remember a dead worm and try to make art from it? It seemed like someone needed to remember it.

Car headlights.

Taking pictures straight up like this can be a little boring, but I think this turned out okay. In the bottom right, I think it's a bug, or a hummingbird...?

Bliss between nature and civilisation.

Tiny constellations.

Two focuses. Trying to capture what I see lying on the grass in the park...

Saving the best for last... cloudy moon. I actually like this one.
I don't feel like I learned a lot from this, so I guess I need to push my self more? I did learn more about how to do moon photography, and I'm really happy with the results, so, that was something. And, it does encourage me to experiment more with photos/scenes that I don't think are that good.

What is the artslam week thing?

And, thank you! ♥

It was with a telephoto lens, 300mm, focused to infinity (or, almost infinity because the "infinity" setting on that lens actually does not work like I expect).

Yeah, telephoto is really useful for astrophotography, but, really expensive owo; I got mine from a friend who was not using it, and also happened to match my camera type, I'm very lucky...

And yay for learning more about moon photography! It is a marvellous photo. ^-^

Artslam week, I want to give it a go too but am too late to join? I have been busy with nest building stuffs and most of my things are still packed away, only my laptop and water kettle and ramen is out, I'm not sure if I can do art with ramen. Hmm, noodle art.
But, I guess it doesn't have to start on a specific day, if people are doing it the week before. Maybe I will set for myself to start the week after, next Monday (:

I also really like the headlights one, mostly for all the movement in it, even if it's hard to tell what it's of. And the last one is interesting -- I wish I knew more about photography so I could figure out what it is that isn't quite working as a whole, even when I find all the interesting components of it really nice. (Then again, I have that issue with drawing, too.)
Just another little thing -- if you don't feel so much like you've improved/learned stuff in just a week, but want to keep going, the slam's technically for a month. But I mean, it's one of those things where honestly, I'm running it super-casual, so people can pop in and out as they see fit, in like, weekly increments. (I think I'm probably going to continue the slam into August, just so I can keep up habits, but I don't expect everyone to!) So yes. Basically just saying if you wanted to keep going and maybe poking at stuff, and seeing if you can't work a few things out here and there, that's cool, but the alternative is also cool. I'm not sure why that needed a paragraph to say...aheh 9__9

The dual focus one captured "lying in the grass" really well, and the headlights one is so perfectly "driving in rain."
The moon one, I think, would make a really awesome fabric print. Would it be OK if I attempted to design something using that photo?

And yes, please feel free to use it! I'm sorry I don't have a bigger copy because I saved it at that resolution...
