Otherkin/therian romance anthology

aaaaaah this small publishing company is working on an anthology of romance stories featuring otherkin and therian characters and they're putting out a call for it

they're looking for a cover too, and if the cover features human-looking people they prefer people of color, yay

they will pay you $30 for stories and $100 for the cover and thegreenwolf is writing the forward

they're also collecting a nonfiction anthology of essays by disabled people on sex and romance

please please signal boost this all you can because this will be one of the few times that published stories have been written deliberately FOR otherkin (actually the only other one i can think of is soar) and i need this with all my heart (and i don't even like romance)

It's an interesting anthology concept, and I hope it works out well. I got contacted about this privately today because of my therian/'kin writings, but I know I won't have anything to contribute to this thing because unfortunately for me it's limited to romance. That and I suck horribly at fiction kind of stories, or really "stories" at all, as I'm best and most comfortable just writing my own, usually first-person, experiences, thoughts, and views on things.

Yup I got contacted too in private (and then passed the word along DW, where Tsu read it!). I'm just the same - sucking at fiction and feeling like I have nothing to contribute. Also lacking time and energy terribly, but I hope others people will find an interest in this because it seems like an interesting project.

I'm thinking that maybe, very maybe, I have an idea for this, but I've never written anything for a submission call or anything, so I was wondering if maybe you'd be willing to discuss the outline a bit? I value your opinion highly. <3 (Also, the fact that they have an anthology of asexual romance stories fills me with hope that I could write something they'd accept since I don't manage physical-attraction romance well, I think.)

Yes, of the story idea I've got because I'm a bit insecure about it and I trust your opinions on stories. ^-^ (I may just write it anyway for the cottoncandy_bingo and not for this anthology purely because, while I understand the reason for wanting "real world only" stories, it's not one I'm particularly skilled with and I'd like to finish this round of the cottoncandy_bingo. ^-^)
