The first issue of the new non-human zine, The Forest Voice, is calling for submissions!

The theme of the first issue: Walking Man’s Road: The challenges of living non-human in the human world

I’m looking for all kinds of submission: stories, poetry, art, quotes, essays, glamourbombs, recipes, anything you like. You can write something that’s five words long or five pages. You don’t have to write perfectly (I don’t!) but please try to write with passion! Nothing too strange! Nothing too extreme! Imagine you were writing for a magazine to be delivered to the fae, and pour out your pure and wild heart.

Anything that blurs fantasy and reality (making it seem like you are writing as a physical nonhuman in the Earth world) is particularly welcome, as I hope this zine will also be a glamourbomb, for people who don’t know about nonhumans.

Anonymous submissions are of course, always okay!

Please send submissions to hakuchou at allusion dot net, or, as a PM, by December 1st! (This is just a rough look at the cover: it won’t have Autumn/Winter 2011 on it now obviously, hehe~)

oooooh, i would love it if you at least made this print on demand, i would so buy a few copies and leave them all over my school. I suggest having a giant NON-FICTION sign on the zine so people know we're writing from the heart and not from the imagination. Are you gonna also have print issues?

Wondering if I should write out a new piece or submit a few older entries from my journal....hmmmmm.

I will do my best to make a print on demand, for glamourbombing purposes! I might need some help with where I can get it published though. I don't know much about that. But I would love to, particularly if I can make it on a parchment paper.

I don't know yet~ I was thinking, mostly to make it an e-zine, but, I might also do some print on demand too for glamourbombing.

It's simply my personal project, so, it's just me, one person putting this together.

I'm very tempted to write something for this. The whole blurring of fantasy and reality makes me wonder about some sort of news article or opinion column in an otherworldly (though modern?) setting.

But I have really no idea where to begin. The only thing that comes to mind right now is to follow a quirk - make what i write appear written by someone without opposable thumbs. As for content though... jeez I can't even modify my own life to fit. It wouldn't be interesting.

I mean, I suppose I do have an idea as a result. As I said, some kinda news article or reader letter sort of thing. It couldn't be a story in the traditional sense.
