So! My spreads are finally dry, and I have readings for you~~ (Thank you so much to niya for helping me set this up so I can get paid!)

• Large spreads: $7 (will also do trades for a piece of art, or a story at least 300 words)
  
  You can always ask for one and three card draws first, to get a feeling for if you like me as a reader. As many as you like. ^v^
  
  (...ppplease excuse my messy attic for the pictures m( _ _ )m They are very big spreads because the cards are big so, I only have one place to lay them and it's not very tidy...)
  
  
  • Tree of Energy spread (7 cards): good for seeing a detailed picture of your spiritual health/state/nature, for finding out a place of spiritual or emotional block, or looking at a picture of a current situation, just the general health or state of something. "What is this right now?"
    
    I think this is an interesting one because it is kind of like... doing a health scan of your energy, but with cards! I'm quite excited about this. I seem to be good with this spread too.
    
    
  
  
  
  • Alchemical Transformation spread (7 cards): good for a very detailed instruction of how to progress in a situation, or how a situation will change over time. This can look at a progress up to length of your whole life, or, a short length of a few weeks or months, but it's better for longer situations because of the detail. It's the opposite of the Tree of Energy, it's about movement. "How do I get where I want to be, and what are my struggles on the way?"
    
    
  
  
  
  • Cygnus spread (10 cards): good for something in between the first two. This has a picture of who you are, what influenced you until now, what supports your "flying" and gets in the way, and where you should go. It's good if you don't need to know a super super detailed picture of how to get somewhere like the Alchemical Transformation, but you want to know the general direction, and what might influence you that you need to think about. "Where did this come from, and where is it going? What are the wind conditions like for setting on this journey?"
    
    


Custom spreads! (No trades)


• For $12, I will make you a custom spread based on a constellation, creature or symbol (up to 12 cards) and give you a detail reading from that spread. If you want a spread with more than 12 cards (for example, you want me to work with a constellation that has more than 12 stars), it's $1 extra for each card.
  
  $10 extra if you want me to make an actual painting of the spread and mail it (I need to buy very large card and it's expensive o.o these are about 30 inches by 40 or something ridiculous), otherwise I just design it on the computer and tell you how it looks. If you want paintings I'll do them better than I did here, these are a little rough.



• For $25, I'll make three custom spreads of your choice and give you three readings. +$20, three paintings as well.


Special deal on spreads! I want to also help my reader and friend Charley, so... if you buy any reading worth $5 or more from whatawaytoburn, I'll make a custom spread for you and give you a reading from that spread, for $7. So, you can get two readings (and a custom spread) for the price of one!

So, you want a reading~? You can ask a particular question or just ask me what the cards want you to know. Here are other questions I need you to answer before the reading (I find this really helps me give an accurate reading):

• Out of these 4 categories, what is most represents you: passionate inspiration and outward directed energies (wands), gentle inside emotion and spiritual thoughts (cups), thinking and intelligence/communications in an unemotional way (swords), or practical and physical things (pentacles)? Please give me the suit that most fits you.

Ooooh nice, I'm planning on running an experimental tarot journal tumblr in which I give free readings (one to three cards) for practice and posting it, is it ok if I link you?

Not doing paid readings, because I'm still an amateur, I don't even know all the meanings yet. -sweatdrops- I have to consult websites for meanings, and I also go off on intuition and card imagery.

And, thank you! Even when you learn the book meanings, your intuition and card images are also very important, I believe. The printed meanings are a guide, to open up your deeper feelings and interpretation. And you can definitely get different readings out of different decks depending how the images bias, and, I think that's a good thing. Decks have personalities, it's a relationship.

Hehe, with the Alchemical Transformation, I planned to make it very simple, but, as I worked with each stage I realised there was so much symbolism I wanted to add, to remind me of the important energy at each step. So, it becomes very complex. I could have done more, alchemical symbolism is very rich. But, I'm not very skilled these paints, haha.

I do like how the birds turned out though, I should take pictures of some of them closer...

Okay, your reading is ready!

Your card is the Fool. This is the first card in the Major Arcana and, it represents "the sacred fool" who begins on a magical journey. The Fool is called that because, most people around this person see them as acting in a foolish way. But, the Fool has an innocent confidence and inner intuition, and, what seems like random and silly acts are actually very meaningful. This card is saying, to heal, you need to embrace your inner Fool. Stop being afraid of how you look to other people and whether what you are doing is "practical" or "logical". Simply act on your intution, and take the step forward that "feels right" to your inside self. Even if it means you end up looking silly, you have a lot of potential right now to begin a new start that is healthy for you, you just have to be willing to look like a fool. Doing comforting acts that seem "childlike" and "foolish" like curling up with a blanket, or watching silly cartoons might be something to help you,. The Fool is mostly a card about actions and moving forward, so, push away what people think of you and do something that feels right to your heart.

As for the questions:


Focus: I associate strongly with water, the moon, the crab/Cancer (my astrological sign) -- I was born under a lot of water signs and 2s and I've always fit them. Also, the color blue, which is not only water for me but healing, and I used to do a lot of healing energy work. The number 13. Seashells. Pentacles. I can try to think of others if this isn't good for you.

And as would probably be obvious from that, I associate mainly with cups as a suit, though I feel like I've drifted a little closer to pentacles at some point -- but still, cups, overwhelmingly.

I can't think of any specific cards at the moment,. but if something comes to me I'll let you know.

Iiii would like a Tree of Energy and an Alchemical Transformation, if I may? I'm stuck in a lot of ways, feeling down, unconfident and depressed, and dry on creativity – though often that's rich on ideas, but dry on being able to bring them out into form of words. Wrapped up in a lot of emotional gunk I want to get rid of, from resentment to apathy to disappointment. I've lost contact with a lot of my headmates, and all I find is... not cotton muffling, but dry silence. I want to move to a place of inspiration and motion, producing and engaging and being happy and inspiring as well as being inspired. And caring for the people around me and feeling cared for and valued in return. (I have a feeling that getting out of my city would help, too, as winder is on the doorstep and I... go to sleep, in winter, in a lot of ways, and just feel and do nothing except for in stabs and spikes when something juts through.)

I'm more of a sword than anything. (Though if you listen to my body-astrological chart, I'm apparently full of water; though if you listen to my other body-astrological sign, I'm a fire tiger.)

Focuses? I identify with the term neutrois and with stray cats. I'm a stray cat in the house of Crow, and work, when I can hear him, with Raven. ...and I'm right at home with enda and tenallua. I have a nobility complex, and I'm preoccupied with notions of worthiness. I want to be a spiritual teacher/resource/wise person, but I have so many doubts and so far to go. I'm an INTP. I'm asexual, and often say that power dynamics are my sex. I compose responses like this one when asked for a focus. :)
